Accounts Receivables & Credit - Product Manager

Staples is seeking an experienced Credit to Cash Product Manager to manage an Accounts receivable and credit services provider for Staples. Responsibilities will include managing the overall partner processes, policies, performance to ensure compliance to the statement of work, timely collections and optimum customer experienceThis position will independently manage all aspects of the existing relationship and support new business opportunities evaluation, implementation and governance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and a bridge between the Staples accounts receivable & credit team and the vendor
  • Monitor vendor performance by tracking and updating defined performance metrics, quality & controls
  • Regularly track and manage the customer experience with the vendor processes and find improvement opportunities
  • Monitor escalations and work with the stakeholders, leadership and the vendor to find the right resolution and track escalations to closure
  • Define, communicate and sustain a standard vendor governance model
  • Collaborate and support business teams with communication, reporting, triaging new requests, answering clarifying questions and managing scope
  • Seek input from Finance leadership on new business opportunities and support them with defining business needs
  • Conduct regular business reviews with business partners, including sharing detailed reporting, customer experience and driving continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value
  • Influence and be accountable for keeping track of overall vendor scope, new enhancements roadmap and overall projects timelines
  • Develop trusted relationships with vendors and participate in identifying solutions for business needs within agreed collaboration

  • Bachelor’s degree  – MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 7 + years of Accounts Receivable and credit management experience
  • 2+ years of managing a key business partner providing finance services
  • Experience with financial modeling and business case creation is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to clearly present ideas
  • Ability to work productively independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic objectives
