This position is based out of our Fulfillment Centre at 550 Pendant Dr. in Mississauga.

Purpose of Job

Facilitates the receiving of product and equipment into the Fullfillment Centre.  Performs work under the direction of warehouse supervisor or manager.

Associate is required to work primarily in the Inbound department (receiving & put-away) and must be able to operate various MHE (Stand Up Counterbalance, Walkie, Reach, and Order-picker).  Expected start time is 6am, but hours of work may vary by 2 hours, some flexibility is required. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the receipt and storage of product from manufacturers and wholesalers.  Provides direction to FC staff on incoming product and location of product to be stored.
  • Using the receiving data base and Alpha, ensures receipts are scheduled appropriately and in accordance with the due dates for each PO.
  • Ensures accurate quantities of product were received, and compares appropriate paperwork, or what’s displayed on hand-held scanner, and matching product numbers.  Investigates and resolves discrepancies as required.
  • Enters data product information using Alpha or a hand-held scanner into the warehouse database for inventory tracking to assure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifies product shortages/damages from delivery upon receipt of product.
  • Communicates with Vendors, Purchasing and Merchandising teams to ensure proper information is available to facilitate the receipt of incoming shipments.
  • Assists with OTTDD tracking and reporting to help monitor warehouse and vendor performance.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Daily interaction with co-workers in the warehouse, drivers and purchasing personnel.


Basic Qualification:

  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, reach and cherry picker required
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate the ability to follow directions
  • Ability to make independent decisions within well-defined guidelines
  • Must be a team player
  • Basic math skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. 
  • Ability to become certified in the operation of all warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and MS Office.
  • Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
