The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key business partner dedicated to driving and supporting SBA pan-portfolio activities.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for creating frameworks and providing insights into overall business trends and drivers, aggregating business unit detail and developing reporting and presentations for Sr. level management.


In order to be successful in this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will need to be a dynamic self-starter with the ability to establish strong working relationships with a number of business partners across an array of disciplines that result in open, active lines of communication. 


Key Business Responsibilities:

  • Create business unit performance summaries for inclusion in month end reporting / business reviews
  • Help formulate accurate sales and margin forecasts (monthly, weekly, daily), collaborating with business unit leaders, merchandising team and pricing team
  • Partner with leadership to identify key business trends and provide supportive analytics that drive and influence business performance
  • Participate in the development of annual budget plans
  • Be adept at manipulating, analyzing and presenting findings involving big, complex data sets
  • Think analytically, focus on the big picture, and drill into the detail and disseminate key insights
  • Quickly adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on multiple business responsibilities
  • Serve as a Finance thought leader – build financial models that can predict outcomes reliably and accurately
  • Provide general and ad hoc analytic support to the business units
  • Communicate results and concepts efficiently and effectively


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
  • 2-3 years or more years of progressive finance / related experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail required
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience synthesizing complex and large data sets into consumable business insights
