Staples is in the midst of a digital transformation and the Digital Solutions team is the engine driving this exciting period in our evolution. Cyber Security sits within the Staples Digital Solutions organization which includes the IT and eCommerce Center of Excellence supporting both the Digital and Retail businesses. As a leader in the Cyber Security organization, this role will play a critical role in ensuring the security of critical assets of both Staples and our customers.

Responsible for all aspects of Threat & Vulnerability Management, Monitoring, Protection Services, Identity & Access Management and Advanced Threats Including;
  • Leading the security operations teams to effectively and efficiently operate the information security technologies
  • Overseeing the investigation of reported security incidents and events and develop strategies to address them
  • Staying abreast of latest cyber security threats both internal and external
  • Developing long-term security technology strategy, annual security plans, budget and tactical plans to reduce the IT risk
  • Reporting security metrics against established service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensuring the security of critical Staples information assets.
    • This includes the protection of our customer and associate data as well as the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Staples systems.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of, evaluating and implementing new cyber security technologies and capabilities
  • Responsible for understanding the changing threat landscape of internal and external cyber security threats and appropriately reacting and responding to them
  • Accountable for all aspects of staff management, hiring, coaching, training, performance reviews and recommending pay actions and promotions for the Security Engineering and Operations teams

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience
  • 3+ years security management experience desired
  • Experience in managing successful Enterprise level IT portfolios with budgets exceeding 5MM.
  • Proven ability to lead groups, manage deliverables, and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM or similar are preferred, but not required #NAD
