Senior Software Engineer
500 Staples Drive, Framingham, MA 01702
Duties:
Perform software engineering activities
including the design, development, testing, implementation and support of
applications and related integrations. Develop in-depth knowledge of several
Staples business processes and systems environment. Act in the capacity of a
software engineer to actively participate in the definition, design,
development, testing and implementation of software functionality in accordance
with Staples' SDLC. Create and modify
complex programs, modules, routines, scripts and data objects from a detailed
design where efficiency, performance and reliability are critical. Work with and
advise both business and technology teams (internal and external) on how best
to implement desired features and enhancements. Collaborate to identify,
isolate and resolve malfunctions related to software. Operate in compliance
with IT standards, policies, procedures, and best practices. This is a fixed
position based out of Framingham, MA however telecommuting from a home office
may be allowed on a limited basis.
QualificationsRequirements: Requires a Bachelor’s
degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management
Information Systems or a directly related field plus three (3) years of full
software development lifecycle experience. Experience must include:
Three years of experience must involve (experience may be gained
concurrently):
-Performing .NET or Java
Application development;
Two years of experience must involve (experience may be gained
concurrently):
-Working with at least one of the .NET languages, such as C# or
Visual Basic .NET;
-Experience with version control systems (TFS, Git);
One year of experience must involve (experience may be gained
concurrently):
-Working with ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and
design/architectural patterns;
-Working with HTML5/CSS3;
-Using Agile methodologies;
-Web based technologies (JavaScript, Angular); and
-Visual
Studio 6 experience.
