Our Cyber Security organization plays a pivotal role for the company by securing
the environment and data on which we depend in order to provide value to our business
partners.
Principal Cyber Security
Architects on the Security Architecture team are responsible for setting and
driving the standards and requirements for Cyber Security’s overall architectural
vision at Staples. They work closely
with the enterprise architects across the organization as trusted technical and
process security advisors, and within the Cyber Security team as mentors who
guide and align the various teams toward a unified vision of systems required
to support Staples’ security needs.
Primary
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing a security
reference architecture and roadmap to help define the overall strategy of
our Cyber Security organization
- Work with the various teams
across Cyber Security on the selection, acquisition, design, development,
and implementation of new solutions, functionality, and frameworks
- Provide architectural direction
for the different Cyber Security teams and help ensure their solutions
match the overall Cyber Security vision and strategy
- Identify and develop new and
innovative Cyber Security capabilities, working with vendors as needed to
bring them to life
- With knowledge about the
ever-changing trends of the industry, create creative security
architectural approaches that utilize proper security controls to meet
both ongoing and emerging threats
QualificationsRequired
Qualifications:
- BS degree or equivalent
experience required
- Minimum 10 years of experience
in Information Technology related fields
- Minimum 5 years of progressive
experience in a Cyber Security or Architecture related role
- Strong experience with security
solutions in one or more enterprise cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google)
- Experience with security compliance
concerns such as PCI, PII
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure security
tools and options including Azure Identity Protection, Cloud App Security,
Conditional Access, and Azure Security Center
- Able to function independently and
perform multiple functions and duties with minimal supervision or guidance
- Strong communication and
interpersonal skills
