The Senior Pricing Manager, will play an integral role in maintaining, protecting and enhancing margins by influencing how our business develops, implements and most importantly measures suggested and applied enhancements to our customer’s contractual assortments. This role resides on the Pricing team Supporting Staples’s Commercial and Enterprise portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities/Skills:
Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation. Demonstrated experience with Business intelligence applications
Solid people leadership experience: Ability to lead, build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. He/she should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results.
Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Staples in the face of business transformation. 
Business ownership: Have an ownership mindset, and strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon.
Experienced people management: Manage and develop a team of analysts and project managers. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Staples.
Execution: Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the pricing strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Staples including: Sales, IT, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability. Manage off-shore partnership.
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business.
Proven change management skills:  Must be able to function well in a cross-functional and high-activity environment.
Strong executive communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Concentration in Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering desired.
At least 4 years of experience in people management leading mid to large size multifunctional remote teams 
At least 3 years of project management experience
At least 3 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis utilizing BI applications (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx Designer)

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
PMP, Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Experience with interpreting Customer Legal Agreements/Terms
B2B distribution background
