Position Summary 
The Merchandising Senior Administrative Assistant provides functional and administrative support to members of Staples’ Merchandising Leadership Team.  Support will also be provided to their direct reports along with other members of their teams. 

Primary Responsibilities 
• Proactively manage calendars, resolve scheduling conflicts , prioritize meetings to ensure efficient use and preferred allocation of VP’s time 
• Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements as needed 
• Field telephone calls, emails and other inquiries and prioritize to ensure appropriate and timely response from management or associated team members 
• Prepare and process timely expense reports 
• Provide support to other members of the team as needed 
• Conduct research and analysis to support team project work 
• Plan and manage team meetings and events 
• Special project work as needed 
• Manages work in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner 
• Interact with senior management across organization, and internal and external partners using strong judgment, considerable tact, and diplomacy 
• Assist with organizing large internal cross-functional meetings by collaborating with internal communications and the in-house studio productions 



• Minimum of 4 years related work experience 

• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

• High degree of professionalism and discretion with sensitivity to working with confidential information 

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in order to communicate and build partnerships with all levels and colleagues 

• Exceptional organization skills and ability to thrive in a high-paced environment 

• Excellent internal and external customer service skills 

• Ability to embrace change and a desire to improve productivity


• Bachelor’s Degree
