Description

This role is part of Merchandising Operations focused on the Staples Business Advantage (SBA) promotional activity for our midmarket and enterprise customers. You will single handedly lead 

the process of executing SBA Promotions through project management from beginning to end. 

This requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, agility, and collaboration as you will

work closely with cross functional business partners to achieve success. 


This person is expected to improve the status quo by recommending new opportunities for streamlining and improving business decisions through fact-based data analysis


Key Job Responsibilities


Impact on Business 

  • Project manage execution of SBA promotions including data processing, working with cross functional partners, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Execute the existing process but recommend and roll-out streamlining opportunities.
  • Influence business performance improvement through effective SBA promotional planning. 
  • Use strong analytical and financial skills to ensure effectiveness of promotions 

Innovation and Change

  • Recommend new approaches for process from beginning to end.
  • Change approach to promotional activity to improve business results.

Communication/Interactions

  • Collaborate with various internal business owners and cross-functional partners to implement the promotional plan

Business Strategy

  • Execute promotions for SBA based on business needs.
  • Opportunity to influence promotional strategy.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of project/process management or merchandising experience
  • Strong organizational/project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Works effectively with cross functional partners with competing interests
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Process improvement experience preferred
